On April 17, 2025, Library Trends will host a webinar featuring the latest issue, Library Trends 73 (1–2). Inspired by the contributions of Marcia Bates, this issue, “Design and the Philosophy of Information,” highlights the cultural, social, and philosophical dimensions of information design. Ken Herold served as guest editor of this issue, which is freely available under an open access publishing model, and the webinar will include discussions about the philosophy of information within librarianship with the guest editor and select authors, including Archie Dick of the University of Pretoria.
